The Handover Ceremony of the Director-General of Changhua County Police Department

The Director-General of Changhua County Police Department, Chang, Kuo-Hsiung, has promoted to Assistant Director-general of National Police Agency. The new Director-General of CHPD is Chen, Ming-Jyun, whose previous position was the Deputy Commissioner of Criminal Investigation Bureau, National Police Agency. The Handover Ceremony was held on Jan. 17th, 2024, hosted by the Magistrate Wang, Hui-Mei, and supervised by Li, Hsi-He, Deputy Director-general of National Police Agency. The ceremony was grand and numerous guests of honor were invited. Mr. Chang had been the Director-General of CHPD since January, 2023. While in charge, he had maintained a friendly relationship with Changhua County Government, various authorities, and public opinion representatives. Under Mr. Chang’s extraordinary leadership along with the effort of CHPD team, the security of citizens in Changhua County is well-protected. Magistrate Wang expressed her high praise on Mr. Chang’s great performance and blessed his promotion. The new Director-General of CHPD, Chen, Ming-Jyun, was graduated from the 59th annual graduate of Central Police University and the Master’s in criminology at National Taipei University. Mr. Chen had been the Director of Wenshan First Precinct, Taipei City Police Department, the Commander of Criminal Investigation Division, Taipei City Police Department, the Deputy General Commander of The Third Special Police Corps, National Police Agency, the Director-General of Chiayi County Police Department, the Deputy Commissioner of Criminal Investigation Bureau, National Police Agency, No matter what position, Mr. Chen can always fulfill his duty successfully. Magistrate Wang encouraged Mr. Chen to continue in promoting all kinds of police tasks and leading the whole CHPD to work well together in the future.

CHPD Held the Police Vehicles Delivery Ceremony of Police Equipment Reinforcement
Changhua County Government allocated 29.1 million NT dollars to purchase 24 patrol cars, 3 traffic accident investigation cars, 104 patrol scooters, and replaced 131 police vehicles in total. Magistrate Wang, Hui-Mei visited CHPD to host the Police Vehicles Delivery Ceremony of police equipment reinforcement. Magistrate Wang said that Changhua County government always attached great importance to policing work. From 2020 to 2023, Changhua County Government has allocated 177.9 million NT dollars for the replacement of police vehicles in order to improve the police's mobility effectively in fighting crime and maintaining law and order. Magistrate Wang, Hui-Mei has been committed to creating a better public security environment in recent years. Magistrate Wang is especially thankful to all police officers for their efforts in maintaining public security and hopes that all police officers work together to create a better prospect of Changhua.

Changhua County Wan-an No. 46 Air Raid Drill in 2023 Propaganda Matters
Changhua County Wan-an No. 46 Air Raid Drill in 2023 will take place from 1:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. on July 27. The air defense warning, pedestrians and cars evacuation, traffic control, and emergency rescue will be implemented during this drill. People should follow the control instructions of police officers. According to the article 25 of the Civil Defense Act, people who still do not cooperate after being persuaded by police officers will be subject to a fine. People can use "Air Defense Evacuation and Refuge Area" built in CHPD website to inquire air defense refuge facilities in Changhua County and National Defense Handbook.

CHPD was Awarded for Excellent Performances in Anti-Fraud by Executive Yuan
Deputy Magistrate, Lin, Tien-Fu led the Director-General of CHPD, Chang, Kuo-Hsiung and members of Team Changhua of Anti-Fraud to attend “Program of New Generation Anti-Fraud Strategies” seminar of Executive Yuan on May 29th, 2023. The Premier of Executive Yuan, Chen Chien-jen awarded “Hero of Penalize Fraud” and “Model of Identify Fraud” to Team Changhua of Anti-Fraud and gave recognition to Changhua County Government. The Director-General of CHPD, Chang, Kuo-Hsiung said that the police will continue to apprehend fraud syndicates and hold propaganda with departments of Changhua County Government, township(city) offices, village offices, and NGOs. In addition to understand fraud methods, the public should be distrustful about online messages, unknown phone calls and text messages. If the public has any doubts, call 110 or 165 for verification, and most of the fraud methods can be eradicated.
