CHPD has Executed the Cracking Down on Drunk Driving Enforcement for 3 Days Consecutively and Outlawed 62 Drunk Driving Cases

In order to protect people’s safety, CHPD has executed the Cracking Down on Drunk Driving Enforcement” during the New Year’s Day consecutive holidays. CHPD persuaded people in restaurants not to drive after drinking and executed sobriety test enforcement at the road section where the drunk driving cases happened frequently. During the New Year’s Day consecutive holidays, CHPD outlawed 62 drunk driving cases. Among these cases, 51 cases which offended against public safety were brought to justice.

The director-general of CHPD, Wu, Kun-Hsu emphasized that drunk driving jeopardized traffic safety seriously and called on drivers not to drive after drinking. CHPD will continue executing the “Cracking Down on Drunk Driving Enforcement”, to show the zero tolerance for drunk driving.
