The prevalence of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) has become severer and many cases were confirmed in the middle of Taiwan. Some netizens intentionally spread out the disinformation of the whereabouts of the first death, the process of body cremation, and his contacts were in a fever through network community. CHPD received reports from Changhua County Public Health Bureau and investigated the cases immediately.

CHPD has cracked down 3 cases with 3 suspects up to now, which will be brought to the court for violating the “Article 63 of Communicable Disease Control Act”. CHPD will keep tracking down those who spread the disinformation to save citizens from panic.
